Most of you are aware of Fern, my black tiger tabby. But, did you know that I have 4 cats? Wait, four and a half. We'll get to the half shortly. Thanks to thekittygirl@thekittygirl and shadowspub@shadowspub for the great photos of theirs today. First, here is another picture of my Fernkitty.

Ain't she adorable? She seen me coming as she was rousing from her afternoon nap and was all yes, yes, pet me time. She has become a mostly indoor cat since we moved back out to the country in our new house. She's the only one I know isn't going to mess it up and she knows it.

The Orphan

Say hello to Weasley. Yes, from Harry Potter. This guy came around the condo one night after a rain storm and never left. The neighbors were gonna call the pound if we didn't take him. Assholes. So ya, brought him out to the house where he is learning what a pecking order is and he - is at the bottom. Unless you count the half.

The Princess

This is actually the mom of cat number 4 you'll get reacquainted with shortly. She rules the roost outside, but is not the top predator. Great hunter, no doubt, but four is the real threat. Princess is our oldest and often finds time to rest on my feet and had a paw ready to smack Weasley up there.

That paw is actually kneading the air in content. She did a few pet myself on your legs turns before plopping down and gave my feet a purr massage. All the while, number four was watching and waiting his turn.

Number Four

So majestic. Such a badass. It's taken almost a month for him to reacclimate to people. He was borderline feral when we moved back out here. All by himself. I came out and left food for him every few days, then I just stopped seeing him after about 3 months. I thought he'd migrated elsewhere.

Mr. Gray is a survivor, of not only a fire, but of the wild. He is Princess' son. And has put all of them in their place since we came back - his mom and Fern included. Shortly after this picture, he and I both noticed something else.

If you look carefully, you can see another black tiger tabby. I barely got this as when Gray and I saw her, she went for the woods. He followed her in. I'm thinking it may be one of Fern's siblings. Did find Fern on the side of the road half drowned in a thunderstorm about 3 years ago so very possible. Closest I've seen her to the food which makes me wonder if she has already eaten a bit or is testing the waters.

Who knows. I do know that I'm a dog person. Also a cat person. I'm just an animal person. Or maybe just an animal. 😜Long as I'm me, right? Do you REMEMBER TO BE YOU? I always am, even when Nimona reveals our secrets.
