✨ Encuentro Musical: con Joropo Central ✨

A harmonious blend of music and culture

Queridos amigos, hoy tengo el placer de compartir con ustedes un encuentro muy emotivo. Nos acompaña el Gran amigo Alexis Martínez, conocido como el saucelito de Aragua, nativo de San Casimiro. Su presencia siempre irradia alegría y dedicación por la música. Junto a él, tenemos a Encarnación Acosta, quie ejecuta el cuatro, que trae consigo el vibrante ritmo del joropo central, originario del estado Carabobo, específicamente de los lados de Belén. Además, se une a nosotros Wilfredo Tovar del Central Tacarigua, quien se encargará de tocar el bajo para culminar un proyecto que comenzamos hace un par de semanas.

Este proyecto se inicia en una mañana llena de energía y entusiasmo, donde el arte y la música se entrelazaron. Tuve la oportunidad de presentarles a Raúl Borges, un amigo ebanista y carpintero, que también es un apasionado del arpa. Raúl construyó su propio arpa de 35 cuerdas, un instrumento único que suena con la esencia de nuestra cultura. En este encuentro, todos trabajamos juntos, ensayando y creando melodías que celebran nuestras costumbres.

Es importante destacar que Alexis Martínez es un destacado intérprete que recorre la geografía nacional cada semana, llevando su canto a miles de personas. Su música no solo entretiene; moviliza a la gente a bailar joropo, un ritmo que trasciende por generaciones. Mujeres, jóvenes, adultos y ancianos se reúnen para disfrutar de ese ritmo que caracteriza al joropo del Aragua, Miranda y Carabobo. Es un verdadero testimonio de la riqueza cultural de nuestra Venezuela.

A lo largo de esta jornada, la alegría y la buena vibra fueron palpables. El trabajo musical nos unió , recordándonos la importancia de preservar nuestras tradiciones. La música es el alma que nos conecta, y cada uno de nosotros tiene un papel en la difusión de nuestra cultura.

Dear friends, today I have the pleasure of sharing with you a very emotional encounter. We are joined by the great friend Alexis Martínez, known as the saucelito of Aragua, a native of San Casimiro. His presence always radiates joy and dedication to music. Alongside him, we have Encarnación Acosta, who plays the cuatro, bringing with him the vibrant rhythm of central joropo, originating from the state of Carabobo, specifically from the sides of Belén. Additionally, we have Wilfredo Tovar from Central Tacarigua, who will play the bass to complete a project we started a couple of weeks ago.

This project began on a morning full of energy and enthusiasm, where art and music intertwined. I had the opportunity to introduce them to Raúl Borges, a friend, cabinetmaker, and carpenter, who is also passionate about the harp. Raúl built his own harp with 35 strings, a unique instrument that resonates with the essence of our culture. In this encounter, we all worked together, rehearsing and creating melodies that celebrate our customs.

It is important to highlight that Alexis Martínez is a prominent performer who travels the national geography every week, bringing his song to thousands of people. His music not only entertains; it mobilizes people to dance joropo, a rhythm that transcends generations. Women, young people, adults, and the elderly come together to enjoy the rhythm that characterizes the joropo of Aragua, Miranda, and Carabobo. It is a true testament to the cultural richness of our Venezuela.

Throughout this day, the joy and good vibes were palpable. The musical work united us, reminding us of the importance of preserving our traditions. Music is the soul that connects us, and each of us has a role in the dissemination of our culture.
