Es una pregunta algo absurda para mí, porque la lectura es parte de mi día a día ahora mucho más que estoy en Hive. A Veces leemos o escribimos para despedirnos de nuestros recuerdos, para sacar pensamientos guardados que están en nuestro subconsciente que ni siquiera sabemos que están ahÍ; leemos cuando estamos haciendo una investigación. Porque también es interesante ponerse en el lugar de otras personas, vivir con personajes, aprender qué es lo que les motiva, el amor, la ambición, lo espiritual, la venganza o simplemente porque el mundo real no es lo suficiente para nosotros.

Primero que nada no soy erudita o algo por el estilo, tampoco pretendo serlo en realidad ese no es mi objetivo, lo único que tengo es un título de ingeniería y por lo demás apasionada en la escritura y en la investigación. Me gusta leer sobre temas que me interesan y que me ayudan a aprender más sobre ellos, sobre todo que permita avanzar. Otras veces, leo como una forma de entretenimiento, ya que me ayuda a relajarme y a olvidarme de mis problemas por un tiempo.

Leer nos da la oportunidad de viajar por el mundo sin tener que moverse del lugar que estamos. A través de la lectura, podemos aprender nuevas formas de pensar, sentir y vivir. También nos ayuda a comprender mejor al mundo que nos rodea y a las personas de nuestro alrededor. Sin duda contribuye de manera significativa a mejorar el vocabulario y habilidades de gramática.

Desde el lado de la ciencia algunas personas leen para obtener información, o para aprender sobre un tema nuevo. En la actualidad hay escritores y científicos que son personas autodidactas; han dicho que lo que ellos necesitan no está en una universidad o en un título, sino más bien está en un cuarto con cuatro paredes lleno de libros.

Hablemos de Elon Musk, un ejemplo claro de autodidacta, él dijo en una entrevista que para ser director en una empresa de cohetes no necesito un título aeroespacial ¡pero cómo lo hizo! Por supuesto que el dinero ayuda. Pero ese no es el punto, Musk mencionó que él tenía bases sólidas en física, luego dedicó tiempo a leer muchos libros y se relacionó con personas inteligentes que lo ayudaron con el tema.

En la universidad nos enseñan a ser más receptivos, pues somos quienes escuchamos los conocimientos que transmite el profesor, es por eso que se nos complica la vida cuando nos ponemos en el lado contrario. Lo importante es que la universidad ayuda en gran medida a prepararnos para el futuro y poder adquirir mayores responsabilidades que cumplir con un ensayo.

Finalmente hago una invitación a dedicar minutos de lectura, definitivamente este hábito trae cambios positivos en nuestra vida. Una de las mejoras cosas que yo he adquirido con la lectura es la comprensión lectora y la facilidad de leer un libro de 200 páginas en un día (lo hago solo cuando es lo suficientemente interesante).También considero que es importante saber elegir lo que vamos a leer, pues yo antes leía muy poco y cuando lo hacía terminaba dejándolo en menos de 20 minutos porque me parecía un vocabulario pesado e información difícil de digerir.

Empecemos leyendo algo que nos genere curiosidad y entusiasmo, en el caso de los tesistas recomiendo leer bastante sobre alguna área de su carrera que les apasione, antes de elegir un tema, algo que les genere motivación como para pasar horas sentado frente a un computador.

It's kind of an absurd question for me, because reading is part of my daily life now that I'm at Hive. Sometimes we read or write to say goodbye to our memories, to bring out stored thoughts that are in our subconscious that we don't even know are there; we read when we are doing research. Because it is also interesting to put ourselves in other people's shoes, to live with characters, to learn what motivates them, love, ambition, spiritual, revenge or simply because the real world is not enough for us.

First of all I am not a scholar or anything like that, I don't pretend to be one either actually that is not my goal, the only thing I have is an engineering degree and otherwise passionate about writing and research. I like to read about topics that interest me and help me learn more about them, especially that allows me to move forward. Other times, I read as a form of entertainment, as it helps me relax and forget about my problems for a while.

Reading gives us the opportunity to travel the world without having to move from the place we are. Through reading, we can learn new ways of thinking, feeling and living. It also helps us to better understand the world around us and the people around us. It certainly contributes significantly to improving vocabulary and grammar skills.

From the science side some people read to get information, or to learn about a new subject. Nowadays there are writers and scientists who are self-taught people; they have said that what they need is not in a university or in a degree, but rather it is in a room with four walls full of books.

Let's talk about Elon Musk, a clear example of a self-taught person, he said in an interview that to be a director in a rocket company I don't need an aerospace degree, but how did he do it! Of course money helps. But that's not the point, Musk mentioned that he had a solid background in physics, then spent time reading a lot of books and connected with smart people who helped him with the subject.

In college we are taught to be more receptive, because we are the ones who listen to the knowledge that the professor transmits, that is why life gets complicated when we put ourselves on the opposite side. The important thing is that college helps us to prepare for the future and to be able to acquire greater responsibilities than fulfilling an essay.

Finally I make an invitation to dedicate minutes of reading, this habit definitely brings positive changes in our lives. One of the best things that I have acquired with reading is reading comprehension and the ease of reading a 200 page book in one day (I do it only when it is interesting enough), I also consider that it is important to know how to choose what to read, because I used to read very little and when I did I ended up leaving it in less than 20 minutes because it seemed to me a heavy vocabulary and information difficult to digest.

Let's start by reading something that generates curiosity and enthusiasm, in the case of thesis students I recommend reading a lot about an area of their career that they are passionate about, this before choosing a topic, something that generates motivation to spend hours sitting in front of a computer.
