My pattern of purchasing items is quite simple, whenever I feel the need for an object or probably need to replace an item that got spoilt I immediately opt in for another one. which seems like a regular attitude every human possess. though they might be some financial constraint that creates the difference between the kind of item we purchase despite the fact the need for the item is the same. what I meant by this is that for instance two individuals might want a phone and the brand they will go for might be different probably because of the cost or features. we are all aware of the fact that there are different brands of phone which varies according to their features and prices.

In my own case whenever the need for me to purchase an item arises, I prefer to get it from the same brand, the same with the previous item I used. I have this personal loyalty to any brand I have made used of in the sense that any brand or product that I purchase and it happens to serve me to my satisfaction that brand automatically becomes my favourite. So it has never been about the product or cost, it is more about a brand that I believe to be capable of producing a product that will serve my need. The funny aspect of this is that others might make use of the same product from my favourite brand and they might have all kind of troubles using it but as long I don't have problem using that product, other people's opinions about the brand does not matter to me.

This goes both ways, for instance if I should make use of a product from a brand and I noticed it is not good enough or it has some defects in it. No matter how many recommendations I get from others who believe the product has improved, it will never change my mind about the product or the brand in general. I have been criticised a lot because of this habit of mine, some say I'm too terrified to try out something new. probably they are right but I'm very sure that I'm terrified of buying an item that will eventually become a source of disappointment to me.

Following this instinct of mine has been really helpful to me so far, one of the brand I tend to make use of a lot apart from Infinix is New age products. it is a product that specialise in production of phone accessories like charger, power bank e.t.c. over the years I have really enjoyed the usage of their products. for example I bought a 22500mah New age power bank for about $14 as at those days.

I have made use of the power bank for at least 4 years, recently I realised I needed a power bank with a bigger battery capacity so i went ahead and purchased a 50000mah New age power bank which cost about $39.

I make use of it along with the old one and it has been a wonderful experience so far. if the need arises for me to get another power bank, I will definitely be getting the same brand.

There was a time I went for a products based on other people's opinions of it which really did not turn out well for me. For as far back as 10 years I have been making use of Infinix phones which could be considered my favourite brand. I have never been a fan of iPhone or Samsung and it is not because of the cost. For iPhones it has a lot of amazing features most especially the camera quality and iCloud storage but one thing I dislike the most about this product is the battery life, compared to other Android phone in its Caliber that cost less that it does, they have better battery capacity.

When it comes to Samsung phones, I really like the designs but the thing about Samsung phones that scares me the most is their screens. It is really alarming how expensive Samsung screens are, how can a phone screen be almost enough to buy a new Samsung phone of its kind. To make matters worst the way Samsung phones tends to have panel problems And once that happens is either you are lucky enough to find another panel in the market or you just have to eventually abandon the phone. Despite knowing all this based on stories and experiences I have had I still went ahead to get a Samsung phone.

2 years ago, My uncle traveled to Germany with his wife and when it was time for him to come back he decided to buy everyone of us a new device among many other things. I realised that the phone he was planning to buy for everyone was different series of Samsung phones, I felt the need to inform him that I'm not a fan of Samsung phones but I didn't want him to feel bad that I was rejecting his gift, also I was not interested in getting into the details of why I don't like Samsung phones. So instead I informed my brother about it and he happens to be a lover of Samsung phones.

He said I should not worry that he will discuss with our uncle and select the kind of Samsung phone that will suit my taste, I tried to reject his offer but he was too convincing, so I said to myself, Why not give it a try?. My uncle came back with Samsung A11.

One thing about Samsung phones is that there is a way it increases in temperature while making use of it, After about a month the phone was showing signs of defect, once in awhile the screen just went blank without any reason and eventually it went blank totally. I took it to different engineer and Samsung office at Ikeja, I got the same reply which was the phone panel has issue. It will cost about $32 to purchase a new panel for the phone. I did not even listen to the breakdown of the expenses, I went home and dumped the phone. that was how the phone became useless ever since.

Though there are times when people's recommendations are effective in choosing what to purchase especially when it comes to electronic devices but I realise some times it is best to follow my instinct because at the long run I will still be the one to bare the loss of it if it turn out to be a disappointment, which happens to be the greatest lesson I have learnt from purchasing items over the years.
