Okay so I think I can last a long time. Maybe forever if I don't have anything important that I need to do online.
I am a school girl. Like most people my age uses phone every day. I do as well, I watch videos. I take a scroll through media. I chat with my friends. Sometimes I just keep checking my phone for no reason. It has become a part of my life.. I don't think I am completely dependent on it.
If someone were to take my phone for a day I would probably be okay. The first few hours might be weird because I would automatically want to check my phone. Then I would little by forget about it. I could spend time with my family. I could read a book. I could sleep. I could help around the house. Just sit somewhere and do nothing. I think doing nothing sometimes is nice.
The biggest reason I can stay without my phone is because I live with my family. I don't really need to rely on people outside of my home for everything. I have my family. That is enough for me most of the time. If I didn't have to earn money or work online then I could probably live without my phone for forever. I might complain about it at first hehe. I would get used to it.
There is one thing that I would really miss. My friends.
I have friends that care about me. I care about them too. Even if I have to do without media or random videos I would feel sad if I could not communicate with media or random videos.
To be honest, receiving some messages from friends can make my day special .
I like to talk about my beliefs and share my thoughts I feel a kind of happiness in that. I never see conversations, as fights instead I see it as a chat where both of us get to learn each others way of thinking. Sometimes I try to pick up things from them. They also pick up new things from me.
Those things are what I would miss the most.
So I don't believe that my phone controls me. I think that it is just a tool that makes some things in my life easier and more fun. I can put it down and go spend time with my family and not have to look at it every second.
At the end of the day I would rather have people around me than a phone in my hand. If I had my family and the people I truly care about then I think I could be just fine, without my phone.
I feel everyone should be like this and not addicted to their phones unless they have an important work. I think some people are too addicted that even when you go out to eat with them, they would scroll their phone instead of talking to you. So I would say that always prioritize your family and friends more than a device.
