I... am the Prophecy.

It's the only name I've ever known.

I thought that I would be facing an army of demons, that I would be bloody and soaked in sweat by the end of this mission. But now I was more than a thousand miles away, and I was facing five young women with waterguns.

"You're going down, Prophecy!" They were all running towards me, brandishing their weapons. My target, Jesse, was right in the center of the group.

I quickly dove out of the way. I'd done this countless times.

"I think I've been fooled," I said confidently to the girls. "You can't possibly be my enemy."

"What did you say, Prophecy?!?" They fired a barrage of water at me. I ducked behind a desk, firing a blast of light from my gun at them.

They all fell to the ground, defeated.

"You can fool some of them at times," I said. A split second later, Jenny fired a blast of water at me from her Super Soaker.

"There's no way you'll get past us!" she exclaimed. She wasn't being arrogant. She had a good reason to think that way. She was after all, three times my size.

But I was not about to be expelled from the Academy, AND the Prophecy had only the best of intentions for the world. If only she knew what I was intending to do.

The water was hitting me. A bolt of energy standing a foot before me was rapidly being disintegrated. I ducked down for cover, only to find myself in a reverse position, and a blast of water was flying towards me.

"I don't care if you're the Prophecy," she said again. "You'll never get past us!"

I stood tall, outside of the Super Soaker's blast range. "I will, eventually."

I flicked the light from my arm. There's something about seeing an entire world of water laying at your feet that gets your blood pumping.

"No!" she shouted, hoping to deflect the blast. She jumped just before the blast hit, and took cover under an overhang. It was a fruitless effort. Her two teammates were out of blast range, and she couldn't stand back up.

I shot my gun straight out. The ice that surrounded the hand reached the water, and froze it instantly. The water was frozen into a solid block. I watched as Jesse tried to free herself. She was being attacked by a beautiful, pale yellow light, striking her multiple times.

"You were saying?"

She was being physically frozen in place. The ice that was freezing her was so thick, she could even see through it.

"I.. I surrender."

I aimed my light at the block of ice. "Hmm. It's good that you gave up," I said. "I don't think you or your friends would have been able to handle the punishment."

"Take me to the nurse's office," she said, admitting defeat.

"The ice will not melt," I said. "It will stay solid for a very long time, and you'll freeze until you nothing remains of you but the soul."

She hung her head in shame, and I wondered how much worse things would have gotten for her if I had carried out my original plan. My soul was never meant to be filled with the souls of those I defeated.

She was left on the floor in silence.

"You're not going anywhere, Counselor."

Jesse looked up at me and instead of the expected livid look of rage, put on a smile. "Well, I'm not one to disappoint. And I'm not a counselor, I'm a principal."

"Be quiet."

"Everyone, be on your best behavior. Nina, Becky, Jenny, this behavior is not expected from you three. The Prophecy will be here, so it is best if you wait for a more opportune time. Even if everyone knows you can't beat him, we still can't afford to let it show with the recent incident."

I looked at Jesse, and felt my frustration. I had trained, and trained, and trained more, and yet here I was, dealing with some high school students. Those girls I defeated weren't even Academy students.

"Kianna, do not just sit there. You can see it as a warning sign, or you can see it as an invitation for a better party."

It was a reminder of how much I hated the fact that I was forced to use that name. I had not been speaking in English, but my image had.

"Everyone, get up and continue your workout. Get to it!"

They all got up. Even Jenny.

I looked at her. The ice had not done anything to her, but her face and body were laced in frost.

"You are all not angels. Just what is your intent?"

They were all looking at her, waiting for an answer.

"Prophecy and Angels go together," she said. "It's just something we've learned."

I felt incredible vibrations in my hand. Two hands that I could see above me, and two hands that I couldn't. I saw a body of a woman standing beside me. She had long hair, and wings of the purest angelic white.

"I'm just like Prophet," she said.

"I am not a Prophet," I said harshly.

"You have to be. Prophet's a title for all. You are a single individual. You must have received it because you're the only one now."

"If you had just stayed quiet, I wouldn't have had to use all that power," I said, imagining them all piled up at my feet. I looked down, and saw them all still standing. Their faces were all filled with disappointment and awe.

"What the...?"

I looked back towards her, and I was no longer in the same area. We were in a town, complete with a forest and a city. She was standing on top of an immense tower. Other people were walking about.

"Welcome to the new era," she said. "You're in the New Zion."

In front of me, was a huge crowd, waiting to engage me. The people were all wearing angelic armor. They were all looking at me. Me. "The time for everything has been set in motion," I said.

"It's time for the people," she said. "It's time for the angels. It's time for humanity."

She took a bow. "Welcome to the New Era, Prophecy!"

It was time for me to fight.
