The story of job is one of my favorites in the Bible. It is a pretty popular one but I'll bring out a few highlights from it for the sake of this read.
See Job was a very rich man in his day, seemingly having it all, but revered and loved God with all his heart.
God allowed Job to be tempted by the Devil, who struck him with leprosy.
Due to the illness Job lost all his fortune, most of his friends and was even rebuked by his wife who told him to 'curse God and die'.
In all this job remained steadfast in his faith, so much so that God restored his health and wealth in even greater numbers than before.
Job's story is one of great faith, the type that we don't see too often these days. It is quite easy to get caught in in situations that we simply get carried away and forget the foundations of faith.
Even for those who don't believe in God per se, I still believe faith is important. Whether it is in yourself or the World let it be strong enough to drive you when the going gets tough.
