Mess life is not as easy as it may seem. This is especially true for those who cannot eat out-of-the-way or mess-cooked food other than home-cooked meals. Since the students study from the mess because of the pressure of study or because the college is far away from home, it is very difficult to study from the mess if the food is not good.
Mess life is a joy in the eyes of others but not in my life. I couldn't study well at home so I called my husband. It was a lot of fun when I first got up in the mess because many of my acquaintances were in the mess at that time. I used to eat and drink together, go to study, go to sleep and visit many places at that time. In the afternoon we would all go out to eat fast food together.
But the second mess life was not pleasant for me. No one in the mess knew me, not even my roommate. It was hard to sleep alone at night. Alone in the room all day. There was no one I could talk to lightly.
I stayed in the mess for a few more days but I could not stay in the suffocating environment and left as soon as the test was over. I'm fine now with the open environment of the house.
