Blessed Sunday family, I hope you have enjoyed such a special day with the final of the World Cup Qatar 2022, being captivating and promising for the future stars of football, with this great debut that goes down in history, this weekend I want to narrate the elaboration of the crib at home, Like all Venezuelans we leave everything to the last minute, in terms of the protocol of celebrations and meetings, with so much work I had not been able to focus on such a beautiful creation, being a promise that I carry with me since I was 11 years old, where I started the path of the Catholic religion, in terms of retreats and trainings.

Every year I try to do it in a different way, placing our Baby Jesus in the highest place, trying to focus on a traditional atmosphere according to the time, but with Venezuelan landscapes, in terms of mountains like the Andes and its hard-working and fighting people.

This year a friend of mine made me a very beautiful wooden stable to represent the home where the baby Jesus was born, I was delighted with the good work, I try to focus the crib in a dimension of 2 m X 1,5 m approximately.

If you observe there is a lot of space to innovate according to the silhouettes to be represented in the crib. Yesterday, 3 coloured papers were bought as we can see on the cover of the post.

When you have ideas, the elaboration of the same is fast, in a lapse of approximately one hour, it is raised and decorated, being small of course.

Normally the coloured paper is crumpled to make the mountains, with the help of containers (gallons of paint, pots of food), blocks, among others, which serve as a base to superimpose the coloured paper at various angles. I try not to put too many things underneath, as little animals like mice or spiders accumulate, looking for warmth because of the lights and flowers that embrace it.

The mountains are green in colour, but according to their cycle they vary in colour, in this one they represent green, yellow, brown and reddish colours.

Then lights are placed all over the selected dimension, and then proceed to place the figures according to the regions, this time we have shepherds with their beautiful sheep of various sizes, with plastic or cotton materials, few houses, with its population, with a variety of roads, without forgetting the Three Wise Men, with the sole purpose of welcoming the Baby Jesus.

As they are lights of different presentations, their colour varies, that is why the wires are covered with yellow sand and blue frost is put on them.

The result is a simple nativity scene made with love and in preservation of the Christmas tradition in our new and future members, in order to seek union, peace, harmony and prosperity in the home.
