Our love for Christ is one of the powerful compelling forces that moves a Christian to do what is right and stand by the right options. In the face of opposition, in the face of negativity, without our love there is nothing to keep us going and pushing for our faith and our beliefs. Because of our love for our siblings or friends end up standing by them in everything even when we sometimes know they are wrong, we standby them in the face of the enemies or opposition for them to triumph that we may correct them of their mistakes later on when we are alone. That is how powerful love is. Day in day out the devil put our love for Christ and our faith to the test by bringing in things into our lives that are supposed to disrupt this wonderful process. Unless your love for Christ is firm like a rock you may fall and give victory to the devil.
Bethren, the one sure way to know Christ that you love for him may grow bigger and stronger, that you may triumph over the trial and temptation of the devil is to read the bible and learn about his Love for us. Doing this will not only help us grow in our faith but also fill us with the Holy Spirit that we may be held up even stronger when we are down.
