Today we will learn about Reflection and the refraction of light!

So let's go with the concepts:

Reflection of light:

It is the change of direction of light that occurs in the same medium after hitting the surface of a different medium. Source

Refraction of light:

It is the change of direction of the light rays, after passing these from one medium to another in which the light propagates with different speeds.Source

We have to bear in mind the importance of making the little ones know the theoretical part of what is being studied so that when we go to practice they will understand it more easily.

Let's see what we need?

• A few drops of oil
• A white sheet

What do we have to do?

• What we have to do is place the white sheet on a flat surface and drop a few drops of oil in the center to create a mark.

• If the sheet is exposed to light we will see a dark spot on a white background, but if we put it to the light we will see a white spot on a dark background.

What happened?

What happens is that the oil stain is transparent and when the sheet of paper is exposed to light, the stain looks dark since it lets it through and does not reflect, while if we put it up to the light, the stain looks white or luminous. as it is transparent, it lets in the light that the sheet of paper does not.

The education of our children is the basis of who they will become in the future and this is why we as parents have the responsibility to provide them with the best possible education and we must bear in mind that education begins at home, so that we take advantage of this extra time that we spend with them in this quarantine and try to teach them from home and in a simple way basic concepts of physics, chemistry or any branch where you develop.
