... someone in the class told about the sighting of Myna and how it can predict how your day is going to be. It goes, if you see one myna, then the day is going to be sad or something sad is coming on your way, and of you spot a pair of myna then the day is going to be a happy one. Now, my schoolbus passes by a zoo. There are way too many of those birds who comes there everyday. Trust me I have struggled every morning to count them to check if it is really true. And over the time, I can say I got good at pairing them and counting.
The problem with learning something at that age is, you tend to believe it as a fact. And somehow, this is so engraved in my mind. The problem is Everytime I spot one of them alone, to this day, I get that sudden thought of something bad is going to happen. Doesn't matter how much I say I don't believe in it or trust in it, it's always there.
Well, today, I managed to photograph one not thinking too much about it. The day was going well untill it turned out to be a really sad one at the end of the day. And these kind of stupid believes makes you think somebody warned you already. Or maybe just the superstitions. I mean, I don't know how many days I've seen a lone bird and how the day goes by. But these things all somehow always runs in the back of the mind or subconsciously.
And it got one more level up recently. Somebody said, if the lone bird flies away, then it's the sadness going away. I mean, that was a little too extreme of the omens.
Well anyway, I live the bird. I love how they have those black and white colour under their feather. Poor Mynas, have no idea how we have our premonitions based on them!
