Starting August with a nature walk to heal myself felt like a perfect start. The valley has turned so green with flowers everywhere.
Not just flowers, most trees have given fruits after the rain started. We had a lot of plums, apricots and berries to eat. Right now, the apple trees are bearing apples. However, this year it is very less. It is way too little that I felt bad looking at the apple orchards.
Every year, farmers face a lot of struggles to reach these apples to the market. Last year it was the landslides and blocked roads. This year the yield is so low that all their efforts feel like a loss.
The apples now taste a mix of sweet, sour and crisp. It is a very different taste than the ones we get in the market, all ripen. I like this stage of the apples. They are really good for making milkshakes.
The rain also made the colours in nature so vibrant. Foxy looks so orange these days with the background of saturated green.
Speaking of Foxy, the poor thing got bitten by a mountain dog today. I had to carry her all the way back home since the wound is in one of her leg paws. She was crying so loud.
This is the first time I saw her cry in pain. She is a tough one otherwise when it comes to pain. That made me sad today. But I hope she recovers fast.
That was pretty much about the walk today. I would really like to show you the pics from where I go for these walks. But, none of these pictures actually does justice to the feel of walking in this valley!
