Yarn bombing, is a lovely display of street art, mostly knitted or crocheted and can be placed on trees, park benches, letter boxes, all sorts of places. A local village to me has a post box that is regularly yarn bombed.
I drove past it today. It's in celebration of St Valentine's Day on February, 14th. On top of the phone box sits a sheep knitting and surrounded by love hearts, with this poem:
It really puts a smile on people's faces. This one has featured in our local newspaper, but nobody knows who does it. The fairies must come in the middle of the night to change it.
Whoever the mystery person is, they are very talented.
