Last week I got a notification that came as a bit of a surprise. I knew my Hive birthday always comes up in September, but I had forgotten completely about it until the notification arrived. I have now been on the Hive blockchain for five years, and it's hard to believe so much time has flown by to be honest.
It all started when I bought a spellbook to play Splinterlands as it was one of the hottest new games in the play to earn category some five years ago. That was back in the Untamed era before the game became more complicated. And before Chaos destroyed card prices... But it got me started here, although I didn't blog for at least another year or so.
After getting the notification I clicked on your board just to look at my badges. I'm not alone in the 5 year badge apparently, 923,000 people have one. That's quite a few people here for more than five years. Well, at least accounts...
As far as badges in the personal section I don't have that many.
Like I said I really don't have many. Just the birthday ones and the Papillon Charity badge, which I got supporting the charity through an old contest which is no longer around. 
Looking at the chart I should qualify for the Veterans Badge, but I don't think anyone is really running many of these badges anymore... If you have any idea how to get that one let me know, I would be interested if it's still being administrated.
I do have a couple Christmas badges, but I didn't bother to screenshot them...
And in activity badges I have a few, maybe the most prestigious being daily top commented four times. It's been a long time since I've been anywhere those numbers though! lol
I'm hoping to have more free time in the coming months to post more regularly again. Crossing my fingers, I've met a lot of good friends here on Hive, and I don't want to lose touch with them. I really do appreciate your friendships. I've already seen far too many people vanish, I hope those days are behind us too!
That will just about do it for my post for the day. Definitely not the longest one I've ever put together, but I'm grateful to have received my five year badge.
