I know love locks divide people, some love them and some hate them. The padlocks are usually inscribed with the intials of two lovers. I fall in the 'love them' category. I love reading the inscriptions and I think they are really romantic.
In 2012, the locks started to appear on the bridge over the River Wye in Bakewell, Derbyshire. There must be hundreds on the bridge by now. Astute business people now sell the locks in the town.
The bridge always puts me in a really good mood for a nice shopping expedition!
