We had a walk through Whitworth Park in Darley Dale, Derbyshire.
It is a lovely park with a small lake, children's play area, bowling green and a cafe at the Whitworth Centre.
On the cycle trail it looks like the stone wall is in need of repair.
We spotted some rook's nests high up in the trees. Rooks like to nest in colonies called rookeries. Their nests are made of twigs and branches.
On the cycle path, the Peak Rail steam train often passes by the park from Rowsley to Matlock.
We called in at Caudwell’s Mill which is a Grade II listed, water turbine powered, roller flour mill.
They have a brilliant vegetarian cafe there so we had a homity pie with salad to round the walk off.
