We had a walk along the river in the pretty village of Millers Dale in Derbyshire today.
Once we got to the bottom of the steps, we made our way along the River Wye. If it's been raining the river can get quite high. It can get very muddy and slippery, so suitable walking boots are required. Thankfully, it was quite dry today.
We were lucky enough to spot a dipper near the river, bobbing up and down.
They are quite interesting birds to watch. The river is their natural habitat. They can swim underwater to hunt for food. We watched it dive underwater several times before we headed off.
We continued walking by the river. Some of the footpath is quite narrow in parts. We usually have to stand aside for people to pass but we didn't see too many other walkers out today. A nice, easy walk.
