Coffee-Anyone? ☕️☕️☕️……My Actifit Report Card: May 21 2025
Got coffee? I do! Some of you may already know I’m a closet coffee roaster. I’m a true coffee snob as well! I prefer the coffees that I roast, however, there are times when we are out and about that I need a coffee. I specifically like one bought coffee brand for hot coffees and another bought brand for mocha frappes. The first picture is a batch of my roasted coffee. This next one is of green water processed decaf. In green form, it looks a bit ‘browner’ than regular green coffee does. I drink both decaf and caffeinated coffees. It depends on the day specifically, which I drink or whether it’s a blend of the two, or straight caffeinated.
So, with all this coffee, you have to know an espresso machine will be involved. We just got a new one because the last one was pushing hot water out the steam wand as it was pulling a shot-not good! That was about the 5th machine in 2 years! I’ve come to the conclusion that the low end machines are for households that might do an espresso once or twice a week. We pull on average 5 espresso drinks between me and 
So with our machine on its last leg, I did a bunch of research-even got Grok AI involved with some of it, and ordered this:
It is not the lower end nor by any means is it the higher end. However it is constructed of stainless steel and NOT plastic. It has 2 boilers so you can pull a shot and steam your milk simultaneously! It came with everything you need including a tamper, a frothing pitcher, a steam nozzle cleaner, brush and coffee scoop. It also had 2 single wall-single shot and 2 double shot porta filters, as well as the same in a double wall version.
It is seriously programmable with length of time a shot is pulled; temperature of the shot pulled; temperature of the max steam. It’s a heavy and well made machine.
As with anything new, there is of course a learning curve. However this evening’s coffee was much better than this morning’s! 😁☕️ I’ve not gotten to the programming yet-I’ll save that for the weekend when I’m not in a rush.
Work today was busy as usual. I just found out a couple hours ago that my coworker who works Thursday and Friday, won’t be in tomorrow……AGAIN! 🙄 I’m hoping she will come Friday, but time will tell.
