Isn’t this African violet simply beautiful? It’s one of my plant babies from work. It loves the light from the patio door near my desk 🪴
It was a me myself and I day, so I had plans to accomplish a few tasks. Of my 2 first timers, one was a no show. I was kind of surprised as this particular guy is getting married next month and the plan was not to wear his glasses for the wedding pictures. He had cancelled once already. I’m wondering if being glasses-less is his idea or more so his bride to be? I’m thinking he’d better hurry and make it to an appointment soon or else he’ll be wearing the glasses. 👓 😜🙃
Once work was done, I ran by the post office to pick up both mine and the clinic’s mail. Then I headed for home.
A couple of days ago, I spotted some road signs on our road.
Sure enough today, the county road crew began their road process called ‘chip and seal’. It involves spraying the road with thick, black road oil (liquid tar) and dropping sharply edged stones on top of that. Then they take a steam roller to apply pressure to the stones to help embed it in the oil. When they are finished, there is always a tremendous amount of loose gravel which they rely on the car traffic to continue the process. Consequently, traffic needs to drive slower to avoid cracked windshields and motorcycles 🏍 must be very careful! After a few weeks, they bring in a street sweeper to deal with any leftover rock debris. See
