There is indeed a deer(e) in the wood! Our neighbor, Becky who resides mostly in Mexico nowadays, is currently here and making some driveway (road) improvements with drainage ditches and also leveling a hill near the off grid cabin. She and her husband Tim, own the land that our first part of our hike usually occurs on. It connects to Keith and Lynne’s property via the High Trail. 
It was a dreary day and a rainy ☔️ day with spotty sunshine ☀️ We were prepared with rain gear; Jan came with.
It was snail 🐌 baby day, and I moved 4 in all, to safety! Here’s a couple of them from today.
It was a good hike. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to get out and really hike. The weather here has not been conducive to outdoor activities lately!
