Dropped my wife off at the station with a cloudy start to the day. Have one task for the day - perfect day for a train - walk - train excursion to a part of town I do not know. Mission is to pick up repaired headphones for my son.

alt

Train and Metro to Sydneham and then walk to St Peter's. Last time I came to Sydnenham I walked the other way. Took a while to get my bearings right for Google map work. Started out as a day for old buildings - 1886 to start

alt

Maybe another day for bottlebrush flowers without raindrops today

alt

A few Victorian cottages with their wrought ironwork

alt

Single storey version also with wrought iron

alt

Art work becomes the theme. Each signal box had been painted. This one tells two stories. There was a lot of bird activity out and about. And there were aeroplanes coming in and out of Sydney airport = birds shaped as planes

alt

Artwork advertising a formwork business

alt

Southern Cross Hotel - hard to peg an age - maybe early 1900s

alt

Back to signal box art - maybe a well known singer

alt

A darker mood for this one. A bit disappointed as many of the boxes have been graffiti'd - no photos of those

alt

Wheel art pointing to industrial heritage here. And top of frame is form from nearby runway

alt

Marrickville Uniting Church under the oaks

alt

Pick up was in a small estate with quite a fee music related businesses. I was picking up headphones. Had to take a selfie on this not a music place - Carrington Building. Chose not to go introduce myself

alt

A well known St Peter's intersection with art inspired by the local businesses .- each tableau is an Aussie icon - St Peter's meats and baklava

alt

Next tableau includes a tribute to Aussie farmers and the Massey Ferguson tractor

alt

An even older building from 1881- the lady in frame knew the fast ways to the station and she walked the shady side

alt

Back to street art. Our friend Matt Burton from Gundog Eatste has one like this called Hamish. Hamish has a twin

alt

The corner of May Lane going down to St Peter's Station - another old building form. The art heralds want to find in the lane - graffiti

alt

Bright it is. Tbe star photo is fab considering the sun was up high

alt

Side by side Russion art - Leon Trotsky - Russian Revolution

alt

And his sidekick - Lenin. Not the original specs - someone has added them in after with a working knife

alt

Walked down to St Peter's Station - a first - did the.St Peter's to Centrls to Chatswood to home day

alt

The other platform buildings in NSW City trains orange

Two train change home.

Friend coming home for dinner to do body corporate stuff. My job is to cook. Did a mix and match bbq. Worked really well

Another late night looking for stocks - options trades all looking good.
