Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by!
Morning came as usual and I was awake and ready for the day! That may sound odd to you, but my sleep quality of late has been poor except for last night. I’m trying to figure out why and will need to track some things over the next week to see if I might be correct in something I’m thinking.
Today was also the day to do the Amazon return and finally get a package mailed out to our daughter in Colorado. After creating package labels, I headed up to Sumas to the UPS/FEDEX store to ship them out. Then it was a quick trip to the grocery for some both milk and non-milk alternative. Then to the post office, and on the way home, to stop at the little corn shack to get some sweet corn.
Early afternoon found us practicing the music for Sunday. It went well. I had already made arrangements with Jan to meet at 5 pm so I could get my stuff done for the day and also because they had said it was going to be hot. I figured it might be a smidge cooler if we waited.
Her husband Jim joined the hiking party for today. However, he thought we were doing the short hike as he was thinking it was a work day for me. He knew that’s when we do a shortened hike. He was a good sport and went the whole distance!😎
Along Slumbering Bear trail, I found another of those brilliant orange fungi that just screams ‘poisonous’ at you. Very pretty to look at but don’t touch!
The eastern side of our state is unfortunately on fire and today, the smoke rolled over the Cascades and into the western side of the state.
A little dinner and TV; then some blogging and it will time for bed. Tomorrow is the beginning of my work week and it’s just me and the doc. I will be a busy, busy girl with our full patient schedule!😳🤪
