With today being Sunday, our day began with virtual church. It was an awesome time of worship and the sermon was great. I do miss being there face to face with everybody, but it is what it is.
The skies were a mixture of sun and clouds and even rain. At one point I thought we might not get to hike as it had begun to rain. It stopped after about 15 minutes, and after doing a few computer things, we headed out.
Mostly sunny, it was a bit breezy and cool but fantastic hiking weather. The picture behind the Fitbit stats are of one of the many ferns that are native to our forests. Unlike the lady ferns that also grow in the area, these are a barrel type fern and can grow to be 24” or more and sometimes have a diameter of the total plant to as much as the height. When they are newborn, they look just as delicate as the ladyferns.
Actifit-Lamb was in full hiking form today, and took her mid hike rest upon a fallen pine tree up at Towhee Ridge.
She had her sun shades as it was mostly sunny ☀️
The trails we take are beautiful with fresh spring growth as you can see in this next picture.
We got back home at around 4 pm and I noticed from the sound of it hitting the skylight, that it was raining enough that I was glad we had made home before it less loose!
I made Cincinnati chili for dinner (we both had 4-ways) and then a spot of TV before finishing off the evening with blogging.
