I got up this morning and headed for work this morning wondering what I was going to find to do all day. I had done the billing I normally would have done on a Thursday, yesterday because the appointments were slim pickings. Silly me, I should never have worried! I received the post cards for the EDDM mailing I was going to do for the clinic, so I thought that should take care of a good chunk of time. However, the courier brought me a box from one of my frame sources. There were quite a few frames all of which needed to be inputted into the practice software, labeled and put out on the frame boards. As I was working my way through that, the alarm that lets me know someone walked in the clinic went off, so I went to see how I could help.
It turned out to be the local frame rep I saw on Tuesday with my order of frames for our frame boards. Well, now suddenly, I was up to my eyeballs (pun intended) with stuff to do. However, as it would happen, I then ended up with 3 different patients that walked in to order glasses, and 5 pairs later, bid the last of them a good day! Whew! Remember, I thought I wouldn’t have anything to do, lol!
One of the patients, purchased one of the new frames the local rep had brought me earlier, but he wanted two exactly the same! So I had to get on the phone and ask if they could, pretty please, bring me 2 more of the same; one to fulfill the patient’s order, and then one for the frame board, as I had sold the one I had already. They were happy to help, so tomorrow morning, she will bring them to me. Talk about awesome customer service! Way to go Misty at Cascadia Eyewear!!
As it turned out, after work, I headed out the door to find the heavens had opened up again and it was raining. So much for the nighttime country road hiking! I had been on my feet a lot at work, so that left just a little pacing in the house to catch the 10,000 step mark.
I found this little lady bug crawling along the windowsill as I was typing tonight. I guess she wanted to help.
Tomorrow finds me with lots to do at work; a fully booked doctor day and lots of finishing touches to do on what was started today. I never did get to the postcards. I guess it’s a good thing I have another 5 day workweek next week to get all this extra stuff done!
