Hi everybody!
I got up this morning to head into work an hour early. Wednesdays are always pushed for time as there is so much that needs doing since it’s my Monday. I got there around 8 AM, and proceeded to work on the insurance verifications and any orders that had occurred between Friday and today.
We were busy, but not crazy busy. It is beginning to be that time of year where thoughts turn from eye exams and glasses to Christmas. I know you might think it’s early since it is before Thanksgiving, but everywhere you turn, it’s like they forgot about the turkey and went strait for the Christmas decorations. I’m also not saying that’s a bad thing either, as I’m getting feedback from folks that they are just in the mood for it. (Honestly, so am I )
After I got home, it was off for the nighttime hike. My husband had run into our neighbor who owns the land we hike on and she said that just 2 days ago, they were coming home to have an adult cougar run in front of the car on their driveway and head up the Floor Trail. This leads to the other trails we hike. It was in hot pursuit at a full out run. We know that they are around, and probably have watched us hike. After all, they stalk and we aren’t going to know they’re there unless they want us to know. However now that someone has actually seen it, it’s a bit spooky. The area that the cougar was sited in is just up the hill about 500 feet or so from our house. Makes me not want to walk between our neighbor Jan’s house and ours in the dark anymore!

After the hike, we worked a little on her phone and firmed up plans for while they are going to be gone. We are care taking their home and whatnot. They are going to have such a wonderful time at their children’s homes this holiday season. I’m going to miss them for sure!
