The oracle blinked at the horizon. Another day went by underwater, peaceful, exactly as the oracle liked. Shells and fish watched the horizon along with the oracle. All was well... until he felt the pull, the eyes on him from far away.
Trouble!
Didn't take much for the oracle to realize a host of problems would soon arrive. Tomorrow or the next day, too soon, definitely too soon. For a little while the oracle pondered an escape to another dimension, but being an oracle he knew it was useless, that solution would bring no comfort to him.
Should he reveal to the robot queen what he saw?
The oracle kicked the nearest stone with all the strength he could muster. It hurt his foot but it was a welcomed distraction from his visions. All outcomes he could predict spelled doom in golden letters inside his eyelids. Yet he had been wrong before, once or twice before...

This is the third on my #fractalfiction series which combines fractal art with very short stories under the same post. This time, once again, the fractals inspired the story.

Ha! Romantic fractals! I bet you were not expecting this. I wasn't either, but what can you do... this raw fractal was sitting on my folder for a while and today voilá, here it is. Shells hugging while watching the sunset. ❤
This was only minor altered in Gimp, most of the work was done with the fractal program.
