Luminescence

I've been fiddling with this piece for almost a month. It started as a portrait of something furry and wolfish, at one point evolved into a kind of owl and then slowly took shape as a fox... The fractal shapes the nose and mouth, everything else was painted around it and the canvas grew along with the body shape, it was much smaller at first, with just the face.

At first the raw fractal was styled with a photo of a tree from my backyard in Deep Dream, all the rest was done with Gimp 2.8 and 2.10.

It was created with Sterling2, Gimp and Deep Dream.
