Hello Buzzy Bees!

This is a response to the Ladies of Hive Community Contest #6
You can check the official post from ladiesofhive@ladiesofhive here:

And I was mentioned by a beautiful Lady of Hive jangle@jangle!

From the questions mentioned in the contest, I will choose one:

Have you ever seriously wished you had been born a male instead of a female? If so, why?

There was a time in my younger years that for a while I wished to be a boy.

As a fat tomboy who loved to play soccer was extremely difficult to play with the boys and the girls didn't want to be part of any kind of sports. Both sides would make fun of me besides being fat.

Yep, I was always the last one being picked on teams during sports classes to play...

So yeah, I wished to be a boy. If I was a boy I would be accepted amongst the other boys and maybe join the games!

For a while affected me and made me a little depressed but I eventually grew and tried my best to turn this around, by pushing myself in every sports class! It was my favorite subject, after all, just wasn't fit enough to do certain things but I did my best to accomplish as many exercises I could!

Even though I didn't choose Sports as a "major" later on and went to Sciences, I kept playing soccer during sports classes and in my free time.

My love for soccer and effort made me the best goalkeeper in high school!

And I was challenged by a group of boys from the Sports major making fun of me that I wouldn't save the penalty from them. I actually saved all of them, can't remember how many, but I remember it was rough lol

My team ladies were there to support! And it was a very good feeling! So my wish for being a boy was discarded because being a woman was much better and much more!

I don't have any picture proofs or a picture of my medal as a champion of the Regional School Sports Championship, so you will have to trust me lol

Got the opportunity to join the local soccer club, but at that time the reality was that female soccer was not acknowledged so I decided to go to the University.

But I am very proud and happy to see today that female sports are much more acknowledged and there's more respect compared to the past.

The title of this post is inspired by a video-clip song from female football players from Brazil. The best way to translate is a female player. Couldn't find a video with English subtitles, but it talks about how female soccer players have also a hard time but even so, they thrive and are so good at what they do :)

Chase your dreams!

I didn't follow this dream, but accomplished others! Being a Mother is the best one!

And, can always show David how to play ;)
