What sparkles
What shines
Like the things we cherish
And shower with time
Give me diamonds in the rough
Things that do not seem
Like much
At first blush
And with the right touch
Maybe they will dazzle
Almost blind
The eyes
Of their new beholder
Or maybe just mine
What gives something value? If you think about it, we have a consensus in society that money has value even though it's just paper or digits on a screen. There are traditions surrounding diamonds and engagement that don't make financial sense (to me at least) but they endure. Maybe I'm just different. OR maybe at the end of this bear market I'll finally be able to buy some really huge diamonds and wear them to the grocery store đđ¤. I doubt that though.
Peace
