Small Pratice Before The Pengrupukan Parade - Monomad Challenge

Some time ago four kids in my neighborhood decided to do some practice before they will join the Pengrupukan Parade on the 21st of March. Pengrupukan is a parade on the day before the Balinese New Year called Nyepi.
The alleyway in my neighborhood is a little bit quiet so that they can practice without much disturbance of traffic or they disturbing the others who use the alleyway.
During the Parade usually the villages especially the youth is going around the village carrying a big statue made of light material called Ogoh-ogoh.
The statue is usually in form of several mythological beings, that we Balinese believe in as most of us are Hindus. But in some cases they also can be any form they the creator wants to make. The philosophy behind this is that this is the time we gather the demons and bad spirits before burning them down at the end of the parade so that we can be ready for the Nyepi procession the following day.
The kids were so happy to do the practice, you can see how they are sweating, but still the smile they have on their faces are priceless. I hope I can go out and take several photos of the real parade since I have things to do at that time.
