While I originally intended to only concentrate on posting about reckoning / ˈrɛk(ə)nɪŋ/ my science fiction comicbook conversion project here on Steemit I have come to realize that I might be limiting myself by only publishing about Reckoning here, so in the future despite my Hello World I might not hold myself entirely true to that.
This post however actually ties into Reckoning even though it is a pre Reckoning project.
And the tie-in you might ask ?
Well I intend to be using the Asteroids herein in an upcoming episode I am writing for the Reckoning comicbook conversion project called - "River of gold" this will be an episode revolving around asteroid mining, ethnicity and the human condition.
"Asteroids Galore" is a Blender3D object library containing 1000 Asteroids - These are ready to use for 3D pictures, your 3D Printing ventures, or other productions you might find worthwhile. And as Reckoning is about creating a 3D science fiction universe well what could be more natural than using resources I already made available.
You can read up on Reckoning at https://einarpetersen.com/reckoning.html and visit the comicbook conversion project at https://www.patreon.com/einarpetersen - You really should!
But getting back to the issue at hand the asteroids, I can inform you that they are created in Blender3D 2.6 - and that they are released under a CC non commercial license.
You can find a torrent file here for download - http://einarpetersen.com/dwlfiles/Asteroids_Galore.torrent
Here is an example of a 3D printed version done by Matt Weber (Twitter @3DReefer)
I am pretty satisfied to see such an amazing result come out of the AsteroidsGalore library and If you are in need of rocks / boulders / Asteroids - AsteroidsGalore is the collection for you!
I imagine they could be used for anything from dioramas or boardgames to virtual 3D creations - I really want to see what you people use them for.
Will it be for the Millennium Falcon to dodge, a satellite to land on or something even more spectacular - Let me know and do share your creations with me.
I hope you enjoyed this post, that you find my releases interesting - Please do upvote my posts and please do join my Patreon project, so I can keep bringing you more interesting collections, models and awesome scifi releases in the future.
Looking forward to hear back from you!!!
Kind Regards
Einar Petersen
