I wake up.

It's not dark anymore, there's an infinite blue sky, no clouds, no sun, I'm lying in grass as tall as my knees, there's some light wind that blows intermittently with a scent of flowers.

I stand up, don't feel tired anymore, nor hungry or thirsty, I feel an strange peace, the kind of peace that might lead me astray of my goal. I start walking.

In the distance I see a little house, an old woman by a fire and a pot with boiling water.

She sees me come from the distance, continues whatever she is doing.

Hi! - I yell before I go any closer.
Hi boy! Come over, have some tea!

She calls me a boy, nobody has ever called me a boy in years.

As I come close to the fire she hands me a cup with some herbal tea.

  • Thanks. My name is E...
  • No name.

I stay silent.

  • No one here is who they used to be back in live world, not even you live boy, look at yourself!

I see my reflection in my cup of tea, I'm me alright, but I'm my 15 year old self, I feel unease, nervous, afraid, maybe I died.

  • Don't worry boy, you didn't die, but you ARE on the land of the afterlife.
