Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog.
My next target was a small Mongol base called Dark Water Encampment. This camp was only about two hundred meters away from the mission I had just completed. So I thought, since it was so close, I might as well finish it off at once. Besides, if I could destroy this camp, I would get eight steel, which would be useful for strengthening my katana.
I rode my horse and quickly set off towards the camp. Upon reaching there, I first observed the surroundings. Using my senses, I understood the position of the Mongol soldiers. I wasted no more time. I started the attack directly.
I didn't use any stealth in this mission. I decided to fight aggressively from the beginning. I attacked the two soldiers standing below first. I threw a kunai at them. Interestingly, the kunai strike caused one of them to lose his balance and fall into the nearby fire. His body caught fire and he died there.
Then I noticed that there were not only Mongol soldiers here, but also some ronin. I was surprised to see this. It seemed that now a part of the ronin was also working for the Mongols. I remembered Ryuzo, because he was also fighting for the Mongols now. I realized that I should not neglect the Ronin. They were very skilled warriors. They were easily dodging my attacks and even counterattacking. Their attacks seriously injured me.
I quickly threw kunai at the two ronin. As soon as they lost their balance, I jumped and killed them. But by then, the Mongol soldiers had surrounded me from all sides.
This time I used a new tactic to save myself. I fired an Explosive Arrow at the soldiers in front. As soon as the arrow exploded, three soldiers caught fire and burned to death on the spot. The shock of the explosion also confused the soldiers around for a while.
I seized the opportunity. I started taking them down one by one with perfect parries and quick attacks. It really felt like I was much more skilled than before. There was also a bomber in the battle, who was annoying me by repeatedly dropping bombs from a distance. At one point, I got bored and ran straight towards him and finished him off with one hit.
There were two more ronin left. Fighting them was the hardest. It was very difficult to parry or dodge their attacks. Still, I continued the fight. Finally, I got a chance to make a perfect parry, and using that opportunity, I killed both of them one by one.
In this way, the Dark Water Encampment is completely free of enemies. Now this camp will no longer cause any harm to the surrounding civilians. However, one thing worries me. The ronin have now joined hands with the Mongols. Perhaps more difficult times await Jin Sakai.
