Newbies task 4: hive tokens.

Hello guys, welcome to my blog, and welcome to newbies task for. I am @edwincj, I am a newbie, and I am happy to be here to complete this task which is all about tags, tribe tokens, and use of hive engine. We were given question to answer base on the meeting we had last Sunday, and some posts that we were asked to read. So let me begin.

1. How do you distinguish tags from tokens? What are the similarities and differences as well as the types involved?.

Tags is what you see below a post on hive blockchain, tags makes it easy for curators to curate post due to what they like, there are general tags which can be used in any post like POB, and some communities have their separate tags that can be used for post that relates to their community alone. While tokens are little coins, they are used in community, and some, communities have their separate token, some of this tokens can be gifted to people, while some can be given to authors who use their tags. The similarities between tags and tokens is that they are all used in communities, and others. Let me tell you more about tokens.

Community tokens are two layer tokens that are peculiar to their communities, most community have tokens, they use this tokens for their community activities, some type of tokens are Airhawk, Leo tokens, Adam tokens and many more.

1. Select at least two random community tribes of your choice, explore their frontend and give us a review of what you think after going through your profile and feed.

First if all, frontend are sites that partener with hive, they are hive supported sites. Through those frontend, you can make post on hive, and participate in any hive activities, it serve as a bridge between bloggers and hive blockchain. We have many frontends like Ecency, PeakD, Some official, 3Speak, leofinance.io, and lot more. The two frontend we are going to be exploring in this post is Ecency and PeakD.

Ecency is a frontend that makes it easier for bloggers to post, comment, and reblog others post. It is a very interesting frontend, and it also have Ecency points, whenever you post , comment, reblog and vote others post with ecency, you will be rewarded with ecency points for using their frontend. And if you touch someone's name, like @edwincj,

it would show you the when the person joined hive, how many post he had made, how many people he is following and how many is following him, it would also show you his reputation and resource credit. For me it is more easier to see my profile in Ecency than other frontends.

PeakD is a very good frontend or site that also makes it easier for bloggers to post on hive blockchain, it is sometimes simpler than Ecency for me, it also have an AI that make it easier to read someone's post by hearing it on audio.

This are general frontends where you can post in different community.

1. What are tipping tokens? Give two examples and abuses of the service.

Tipping tokens are tokens that you can tip or gift to any one, they serve as a gift, wjish can be gifted to anyone. Examples are PIMP, ALIVE, LOH, and many more. Some of this tokens require you to have a specific amount of it before you will be able gift someone. This tokens can be abused when you use them in a low quality and low quantity post, and when you use it for yourself mostly instead of other bloggers. Some people gift this tokens because the authors post catches their fancy, so they gift it to the person, it mustn't be someone who knows you.

1. Buy and sell a tribe token or any Hive Engine token of your choice. Show the process you took to make this transaction with the necessary screenshots.

I am going to use Airhawk token for this task, but before I proceed, let me give you small hint about Airhawk tokens.

Airhawk tokens are gotten from Airhawk community, Airhawk community is a community that encourages participation and involvement in the community. Airhawk can be minned or purchased, to be qualified to use this token, you must have or orwn some of themin them inyou hive engine, and you can also stake some of them to your account. Let's begin.

I am going to use tribaldex for this task, I will first of all log into my account,

after that you will click on the three lines and click on wallet

then you click on deposit,

then you will click on select token

then choose hive.

After that, click on the three line above, click on exchange,

then click on the bee and choose the token you want to buy

after move down to the place you see buy and sell,

that's where you can buy and sell the tokens, you can buy and sell this tokens in limit price or market
price. You will see the limit and market price below the place you see buy and sell. That is the way to buy and sell tokens.
