A Dystopian mini-flash
Going to the country was easy. Coming back to the city was hard. Life and death were battling, and the year was 17,565 A.D.
Bodies were gone, only minds existed, and the world was in sexual chaos.
Larry and Tom were husband and husband. They were of one mind, and ready to end their lives on the 37th day of December. Nothingness was better than nothingness. Life didn’t exist, and death was a pleasure.
Tom said, “Goodbye Larry, my friend. Time awaits you. May you sleep forever.”
Larry said, Goodbye Tom. Nice knowing you. Forever is much too long.”
A tumultuous wind swept them away, and left behind nothing. Death was indeed a pleasure.
The Transformation
“Rewind complete.” The Maylaze computer said.
Larry and Tom were now Mary and Evelyn. From gay to lesbian in a twitch of an eye. The cycle was never ending, and occurred every five hundred years.
Mary said, “Evelyn, do you want to have sex? It's fun I believe.”
“No,” said Evelyn.
“Why not my dear wife?”
Evelyn replied in a low monotone voice, “Don’t you remember from the last time we were together?”
“Remember what? It’s been five hundred years,” said a puzzled Mary.
“I always have a headache,” said Evelyn. 😣
