I must say, I generally don't like turning music into an entertainment show, de-focusing the vent from the music itself.

In electronic dance music, this happened already back in the days when Trance became hot with world known artists like Tiësto who kinda started the solo shows when he was at the top adding lots of none music entertainment, like light-shows, fireworks and what not to give the music experience an extra umpf.

Later - now actually - a whole new dance genre emerged in which entertainment is almost always added, EDM! Don't like the entertainment, don't like the music...

Just a week or so ago, I came across Salut Salon; Three girls playing classical music, with a twisted performance. These girls are not playing the instruments in a normal way, but they add quite a bit of entertainment and especially humour to their performances.

Call my hypocrite, although this is similar to the mix of music and entertainment in dance music, I do like what Salut Salon does! Pretty ok music combined with lots and lots of humour, making it definitely worthwhile to watch.
