It is true that Old Havana is an unquestionable scenario for this type of photography, 24 hours a day, but it reveals the architectural and constructive abandonment, good and also social, that this city has been suffering from for a long time. One gets used to these landscapes half wild and sweet at the same time. It is like a good jungle more or less safe.
However, it is a living picture thanks to the people who live there, always on the street doing something or other, working, figuring out what to eat that day, playing or wasting time. That, that daily and natural interaction of the people, without fear or concealment is what makes the image alive, joyful and spontaneous. A natural expression without pose is a portrait to the soul of the person, or well also of the dog, as in this occasion. We can almost deduce what he thinks 馃槼. Thanks to this old part of town, and old in every sense, it is old and looks old and neglected, there are amazing sceneries for cinematography and photography. Hola queridos amigos del blanco y negro y de la fotograf铆a callejera. Por m谩s rom谩ntico, interesante y ex贸tico que parezca la fotograf铆a callejera, en este caso siempre descubre la tristeza y la carga dram谩tica del entorno, y m谩s en capturas en blanco y negro. Es verdad que la Habana Vieja es un escenario indiscutible para este tipo de fotograf铆a, las 24 horas, pero nos delata el abandono arquitect贸nico y constructivo, bueno y tambi茅n social que padece esta ciudad desde hace tiempo. Ya uno se acostumbra a estos paisajes medio salvajes y dulces al mismo tiempo. Es como una buena jungla m谩s o menos segura. Sin embargo es una fotograf铆a viva gracias a la gente que vive all铆, siempre en la calle haciendo una u otra cosa, trabajando, resolviendo que comer ese d铆a, jugando o perdiendo el tiempo. Eso, esa interacci贸n cotidiana y natural de la gente, sin miedos ni tapujos es lo que hace a la imagen viva, alegre y expont谩nea. Una expresi贸n natural sin pose es un retrato al alma de la persona, o bueno tambi茅n del perro, como en esta ocasi贸n. Casi podemos deducir lo que piensa 馃槼. Gracias a esta parte vieja de la ciudad, y vieja en todo sentido, es vieja y se ve vieja y descuidada, hay escenarios incre铆bles para la cinematograf铆a y la fotograf铆a.
