married couples should strive to starve untied of ‘‘i’’ and nourish united with the “I” instead.
If you change the position of one letter in the word “united,” you get another word, “untied.” That letter is “I” and the constant use of the word ‘I’ depict selfishness.
On the altar, when that word ‘I do’ is said, it is believed two has become one but leaving ‘I’ out of the equation to really make two become one is something that so many married couples have failed at.
It is “I” that will cause a husband to work his wife to death with chores not considering her feelings, wellbeing or state of mind because he does not believe 100% in two becoming one because if he does, he would know that any act of wickedness against her is an act against himself.
‘I’ is a word synonymous with lust not love because lust takes; expect to be given at all time and selfish in all sense of the word but love is sacrificial; giving up ones happiness to put a smile on someone’s face.
A friend once upon a time said ‘love does not exist’ but I don’t concor. For me love does exist but true love is another ball game entirely.
One couple was about to be untied. The wife prayed, “Lord, please take my husband home to heaven, so I can go and live with my mother.”
When the love of the husband for his wife is sacrificial, and she loves her husband in a satisfying way, they’ll overcome selfishness.
