**introduction **
In a developing or developed country the production of waste is one of its components ,for example in Nigeria here as a country, being a developing country and also as the name implies "the giants of Africa" what the highest population in Africa produces a lot of waste .Both commercial and private waste are being thrown out in tones to take waste bin.
The management of waste is a matter of national and international concern. The volume of waste does not actually constitute the problem but the ability or inability of governments, individuals and waste disposal firms to keep up with the task of managing waste and the environment. It's certain that a dirty environment affects the standard of living, aesthetic sensibilities, health of the people and thus the quality of their lives .But actually the issue about pollution is that improper disposal or storage of this waste can constitute hazards to the society through the pollution of air, land and especially water .
Today my focus is on domestic waste.
Now let me tell you what I mean by domestic waste. You could derive you definition in a way that suits your understanding.
Waste could be defined as something that is not or no longer useful and is to be thrown away or disposed of.
Now things are getting interesting and we are going towards our main point of discussion
WASTE MANAGEMENT
The generation of solid and liquid wastes, and these increase the risk of coastal and marine pollution and even to the land duellers as well. Its high time the nation stand up "dakada" as its funnly called in my local dilet and source for means of solving this waste mismanagement issue there are divers ways that could be used in tackling the issue ;
*)The government should sponsor a general environmental cleaning service
*)The federal government should raise a law that guards against indiscriminate disposal of waste
*)Raise sanitary inspectors to do a house to house to house check and in need be, arest and prosecution
BUT LETS TALK ABOUT THIS ONE AM REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT WHICH IS :
RECYCLING
so let's talk about recycling,
Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects recycling can prevent the waste of potentially useful materials, recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction Thus, recycling aims at environmental sustainability by replacing raw material inputs into and redirecting waste outputs out of the economy
Material that could be recycled include many kinds of glass, paper, and cardboard, metal, plastic, tires , textiles, and
electronics to mention but a few. Recycling could help the government even private individuals boost economy by replacing by reusing raw materials and equally preserving for the future.
So I could boldly say that recycling is the best means of waste management.
