How I Transferred My Old Short Skirt And Jacket Style Into A New Fabric
Hello Hive is a beautiful morning here i believe you had a wonderful sleep and woke up healthy and sound am glad you're good i have come to share with you how i transferred my old style into a new fabric and added flare to the front waist formally it has flare with kissing pleat at the back and straight cut in front but this time i choose to make both front and back to have flare with kissing pleat at the back
Let me start by showing you the materials i use a beautiful and colorful Ankra Fabric, black lining, tape, zip and other sewing materials
First lett me start with the skirt firstly i started by folding the fabric into two and i placed the measurements the waist 36, hip 42, and the skirt length 24 after that i cut the front part out and placed it on part of the leftover fabric to cut the back part i only added 1.5 inches for zip allowance before i cut the back after that i use them to cut the lining and join
I slant the front with 1.5 inches you can see where i indicate it with Chuck and put the skirt dat 4.5 inches
After that i put zip at the back and i join the front and back together with the accurate measurement of the waist and the hip the back also has two tep kissing pleat just like the Jacket has at the back
Then i cut strap of 1.5 inches to fold in the waist
Secondly i start to cut the Jacket by folding the fabric into two to cut the front i place the measurements the shoulder 15 inches, burst 39, waist 33, half length 17inches armhole and necklines i use princess dat for both front and back i added seam allowance and i cut the front and back half length i join them with their lining and
After that i cut the flare part and also join them with their lining you can see them
After that i join the front and back Flare
After that i join their shoulder together and i also join the strap in front as there's no button or zip it helps to hold the two sides together and it also added a unique look on the jacket
After that i turn the sleeves with lining before i join is just a simple one for me as jacket i don't need stylish sleeves
