While people were panicking and selling their bags I took the chance to learn about new projects that held ICO's this year. Some of these were projects I thought to have potential but passed on investigating further because of the lack of funds at the time. Now was a better time than any to acquire a piece of these projects at lower than ICO prices for many.
As bad as this "crash" was it was a blessing in disguise for those with extra funds to spare and buy into great projects at a discount. My strategy was simple for investing which was to avoid ICO's and only invest in projects that have launched with a working product/blockchain. Because these projects already have a proven record and are listed on multiple exchanges it makes it a +EV (Expected Value) investment especially at a price lower than it's ICO price.
Over the past couple of months, I've learned to put some money aside for opportunities such as this one and not invest everything all at once. It's hard to come up with new funds to invest if you don't have a job in the first place and more importantly it's hard to live if you invest all your money in crypto and the market crashes. That's why I always suggest people shouldn't leave their jobs unless they have enough savings to sustain them for a full year.
I currently do not have a job and not planning to have one either. I'm a long-term hodler so I'm not planning on selling any of my major positions anytime soon and probably not in the next 5 years. So my strategy to sustaining a decent living is to invest in ICO's early on and as soon as my investment has made a 3x ROI I withdraw my initial investment and hodl-ing the rest.
As a result of this bearish market and lack of spare investment funds, definitely not helped by ICO's that extended their token sales for another month, I've had to try my hand at airdrops. Having funds stuck in ICO's and me not willing to sell any crypto, airdrops seemed a viable option to keep moving forward. It's harder to find high rewarding airdrops than to find a good ICO.
I had to do a lot of digging to find airdrops that reward as much as $250 for a couple of social tasks which is worthwhile IMO. Of course, as the market gains strength so will these tokens and they may be worth thousands in a bull market once they get listed on exchanges.
For those not familiar with airdrops, they are a marketing strategy for projects to increase their reach to a wider audience. Almost every project that's launching an ICO has funds set aside for marketing purposes and some of those funds are directed towards airdrop and referral programs.
I recently created a telegram group where I share my finds of high paying airdrops for free. These are projects that reward anything from $10 to $250 worth of tokens, some lottery style airdrops even reward up to $25 000.
