The shortest route From Ise to Kete village is 5 km if traveled through the thick woods. It was mostly traveled upon during the dry season and less in the raining season because of how muddy the road becomes after a short rainfall. Travelers find it difficult to travel with their cars or bikes , and traders experienced difficulty transporting their goods which cost them more traveling through the long road compared to going through Ise bush path. It became a matter of concern when people from Ise could no longer go to market because no taxi man wanted to follow the path after a heavy rainfall one Saturday morning.

They laid a complaint to the king who promised to fix the road before the next rainy season. The path from Ise to Kete had been the major route for the people of Ise for years but no one had cared to fix the mud. The women suffered every summer as they went to the market after a rainfall, gradually the road grew worse until it was inconvenient to travel through. The people of Ise were happy when the king resolved to fix the road.
What I see on The picture
I see a path filled with mud and stagnant water. On the mud is a trace of a tyre, which makes me believe the road is traveled upon. The road isn't tiled and on the other side of the picture are grasses. This could be a short path to another town, I assume and a bush path.
