Teaching is powerful and the way some people assimilate teaching is different because they think and ask questions about everything which makes them very difficult to teach and when they miss it from there that's all. What some men of God are teaching is the gospel but the wrong way, some are teaching fear instead of love.
1 John 4:17
17This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
That's why you see some newly born again Christian's zeal are not of the fear of God but for the fear of hell fire, when they now found that the pastor teaching them this or one of the strong member of the church is a sinner they will have a change of heart immediately because the teaching is wrong.
Some people teaches prosperity to convert people but they do it in a wrong way, that's why after a while they are disappointed after a while because they thought God is magician, Instead of teaching them how love God that brings about prosperity.
There's no fear in love, the love of God make us confident and bring out the best of us. Love of God make us feel comfortable to serve him well and to want to know him more, when you truly love someone you fear not to lose them,God want us to know him more and serve him better with the fear that there is consequences for disobey him and our reward will not be only on earth but also till eternity.
Give your life to christ, love him wholeheartedly and serve hjm in the right way and you will have confidence about everything and to all his promises in the Bible.
