Now, to make you horrified about self driving cars. The current programs IGNORE bikes. The recognize a bike and then ignore it, because the program cannot compute probable paths of the bike, so the program freaks out. (and you can't have that when you have to actually continue driving)
Wow I had no idea about that. That's not good. I recently saw a movie that had a bunch of self driving cars that had been hacked somehow and they were just crashing into everything one after the other. I wonder if something like that is possible. If it's networked, you know that is has to be.
