I don't know should I laugh or start worrying about this!
She watches each game with wide open eyes, she is a true fan and proudly wears the colors that are so recognizable in the whole world in the last few weeks. I don't know how does she see this.
Does she know that this is sport or she just watches 22 monkeys jumping and running around the ball?
However, she would rather watch a football match than a cartoon.
When Croatia played the first match in the World Cup against Nigeria on June 16th, she had exactly 11 months. Did she go to sleep at 9 PM as usually! No! Did she allow us to take these clothes off her? No! She simply feels that my wife and I are especially excited about something and she wants to be a part of it.
It is kinda weird to see her screaming at the TV while those monkeys are jumping and running... Funny to someone else but dad (me) has a few bad experiences with football hooligans, so it's not so funny to me.
The truth is, there are only 4 million people in this country and we would all kill each other only because of football.
I can't force myself to understand that, but I have to be careful where to park my car with the plates of my city if I go to Zadar or Split and those cities are just 80 kilometers far from Šibenik. The football is a great sport but a stupid reason to get involved in the fight. I never supported that but I am a passionate fan of each club in my city.
However, when our national plays on the World Cup, usually our football hooligans ruin our reputation by aggressive behavior towards the other fans. I am glad that this World Cup will (probably) pass without that.
Our baby was so excited when we defeated Argentina with result 3:0.
Like she knew that Argentina wasn't just ANY team on the World Cup.
