Brazil and Nigeria charged more than 73,000 via the Electroneum app and 29,000. These two countries are among the 140 countries that use the Electroneum app for airtime and data transactions.
In over 140 countries/regions, Electroneum has generated around 165,000 mobile top-ups to help people without bank accounts continue to raise funds. Electroneum effortlessly offers rare opportunities to people in these countries by allowing them to recharge their cell phones with ETN crypto assets.
Electroneum showed its determination to help the population without support, pointing out that only one of the 30 countries that use its mobile phone charging app is a developed country.
In terms of the number of mobile top-ups achieved via the Electronuem app, Brazil came first with 73,363 top-ups. A total of 29,250 mobile charges were completed in Nigeria, and Turkish users used ETN to make 17,644 calls and data charges.
In fourth place, Uganda achieved 5,764 mobile charges, while South Africa and Cambodia followed closely with 5,500 and 5,100 mobile charges, respectively.
Richard Ells, CEO of Electroneum, said Electroneum is highly competitive in terms of use cases, unmatchable for most projects. Ells said that apart from Bitcoin and Ethereum, no other cryptocurrency can match the ETN use case.
Electroneum Gradually Rising
Brazil has the largest number of Electroneum users in the world. There are approximately 310,000 Electroneum users in the country.
In Nigeria, Electroneum can be used for MTN, Airtel, Glo Mobile, and 9Mobile top-ups. Many small and medium-sized businesses in Uganda have started to accept ETN as a payment method by registering with Electroneum on ETNeverywhere.com.
Due to the country’s introduction of cryptocurrencies, Uganda is still very popular in the Electroneum community and ranks 66th among users of the Electroneum app.
In January 2020, Electroneum signed an agreement with Cambodia’s longest-serving telecommunications company that enables more than 3 million users to charge their mobile phones using the ETN cryptocurrency. In February, the Electroneum app became the country’s eighth most downloaded finance app.
Indonesia, the Philippines, Russia, and India are the other most popular countries, where Electroneum users exist with 100,000 app users, 2,862, 2664, and 1,855 app users respectively.
Indonesia is the 7th most active country in terms of mobile phone charging.
Other Interesting Electroneum Use Cases.
Electroneum has innovated the AnyTask freelance application so that employees can work with ETN and get paid without having to contact the bank.
In addition to mobile charging, Electroneum in Africa allows its users to top up their electricity with ETN cryptocurrency. Electroneum said it will soon begin electricity top-up services in countries such as Nigeria, Gambia, Senegal, and Mali.
