Sunday Broadway -- My Actifit Report Card: October 11, 2026
Sunday's plans were centered on tickets I bought to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Broadway at the converted Studio 54. I was up early cleaning and unpacking in my basement still. I did two full loads of laundry, so with practically everything clean, it is finally time to see where I can put away all my clothing.
Sleeping upstairs with my partner and doing most of my work at my standing desk, I still haven't fully unpacked my clothing and cleared my bed of miscellaneous stuff. The clock is still ticking...
It was pouring, storming, rainy weather, which we knew was going to happen ahead of time. Our plan was to try to get a walk in table at fully booked-out, in-demand, Italian restaurant in case someone canceled or demand was slacking. No such luck. There was an umbrella line out the door ar Via Carota, 90 minutes at L'artusi, and 5 parties ahead of us at i Sodi.
We went to our old reliable pre-planned backup, thd no reservations, rustic Roman pasta joint Fiaschetteria Pistoia and we early enough (5.30pm) to pick one of four tables-for-2. We nabbed one in the back corner and enjoyed a delicious meal, with the mains pictured above: a red wine duck ragu covered in freshly shaved parm + black truffle fettuccine shaved table side. Good for you girl! Not pictured, I destroyed a bowl of their roasted chicken liver sauce with an extra pouch of fresh bread.
Instead of dessert at the restaurant, we braved the rain to find a cute cream puff stop to regroup, hit the loo, grab a Thai tea cream stuffed puff pastry bigger than a softball, and secure her a PSOL (pumpkin spice Oat latte). The pastry was delicious, I hope they're not using seed oils 🙈
The Broadway show was amazing. The crowd still yelled some of the funny lines in the folk lore crowd bits despite the Broadway setting, and it seems the actors were quite prepared and equipped to roll with the punched when the crowd jumped in (SLUT iykyk)...
Came home, threw on YouTube and barely posted last night's
