I'm back on roll stacking up those 10K step days after a supremely lazy Saturday. Sunday, I met my dad at his Manhattan apartment around noon to help him with a moving mission. He has a collection of guitars that he wanted to put up in storage, and I was just the guy to help him with the task.
In all, there were 7 guitars, 1 banjo, and 2 trombones plus a big ass amp! We loaded up the car and then grabbed a quick burger from the new spot by him. It was very nice, they steamed the 8oz patty on the hot grill with a cover and served it brunch style with a fried egg and bacon!
We drove up to Westchester and got the stuff in storage in less than 30 minutes. It was nice just hanging with my pops, even if there was a little errand mixed in. Top it off with some choice meats for a great day. Not only did we get the burger to start the trip, but we ended it with a stop at Walter's, one of the most successful and famous hot dog stands in all New York with their custom blend of pork, beef, and veal. They have relish in their dijon mustard too, it is to die for!
Thankfully, I got to bed early and had a good night sleep before a long week at school. Monday came and went without much to do. I got 12K steps just walking around school, covering recess, and hitting the stairs for about 16 flights a day. If it wasn't for my steps at school, my lazy ass would just be waiting to go to the club to dance away my steps. But my 6th graders keep me honest. Until next time...
