Monday was a heavy day to spend with my mom. The massacre of October 7 at the Nova Music Festival in Israel and the capture of hostages are tragedies that she keeps fresh with the cry to "Bring Them Home Now!" She also wears a piece of masking tape with the number of days that Hamas has been holding the hostages captive... 367!
There is no excuse for a terrorist massacre, just like there is no excuse for carpet bombing an entire area out of existence. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.
Well, at least I broke 5K steps today. Tuesday will be my last day in Westchester before I return to Brooklyn and turn over the reigns to my little sister, who is flying in from Colorado to take care of mom over the next week. Until next time...
